LEAGUE FOOTBALL
WEST COAST CENTRE. The weekly meeting of the West Coast Rugby League was held last evening. Mr. J. Stokes presided. Also present were: Messrs L. Hunter, A. Kyle, B. Ramsay, J. Kiad, J. Oakley, and P. Sweetman (Secretary). Messrs J. Oakley and the Secretary (Mr. Sweetman) were appointed to represent the League at the meeting of the Patriotic Committee on May 5 in connection with the fair which it is proposed to hold in August. It was decided that the main competition be of two rounds, the Thacker Shield to be incorporated in this. The following fixtures were set down for next Sunday:— Senior: Blackball v. Ngahere at Ngahere, 2.30 p.m. (referee, Mr. J. Griffin); Runanga v. Brunner at Runahga, 2.30 p.m. (referee Mr. L. Kinsella). Third Grade: Brunner v. Runanga at Runanga. 1.30 p.m. (referee, u. O’Connor;; Marist v. Blackball at Wingham Park, 2 p.m. (referee, J. Kidd).
