BULGARIA’S MOVE
To Co-operate with Axis (Rec. 9.50) LONDON, April 4. A “Daily Telegraph” special correspondent inside Europe says: It has authoritatively been admitted in Sofia that Hitler and King Boris of Bulgaria are discussing plans for the defence of the Balkans against an Allied invasion. It is now expected that Bulgaria will co-operate fully in the military sphere with the Axis. The War Minister, General Mikhov, precipitately left for Sofia following on his inspection of fortifications" on the Aegean Sea coast. New defences are being constructed on the Bulgarian-Turkish frontier and the Black Sea’ coast. The “Daily Telegraph” says: “Although Bulgaria has been ordered to take up arms on behalf of the Axis, only King Boris and a small coterie favour such a course.” ,
