WELLINGTON, March 21. The following figures for dairy production were given bv Hon. J. G. Barclay: 1937-38, 170,000 tons of butter-fat; 1938-39, 155,000 tons; 1939-40. 168.000 tons; 1940-41, 193,000 tons: 1941-42, 171,000 tons. The Minister said that Opposition members were in the habit of quoting the peak year of production and then saying there had been a drop, but there had been an increase last season of 16.000 tons on the figures for the year before the start of the war. The Minister said that the production of wool, meat and dairy produce for the past five years was as follows: 1937-38, 849,000 tons; 193839, 860,000 tons: 1939-40. 926.000 .tons; _1940-41 J .v945,000 tons; 1941-42, 955.000 tons.
