LONDON, Feb. 24
The Germans have declared Croatia south of the Taf River a safe militai*vLzone. The German Command-er-in-Chief has taken over administrative control. Anyone resisting will be shot without trial. The death penalty will be imposed on those concealing arms. Blouses wherein arms are found, or villages aiding patriots, will be razed to the ground. A Stockholm newspaper reporting this comments that the new move is obviously connected with the guerrilla activities. According to the Dutch radio Seyess Inquart has decreed the death penalty on Dutchmen disturbing public opinion or refusing to obey mstlrucGons. The German authorities have taken power to impose all necessary measures for the maintenance of production and distribution of goods and the direction of labour.
