U.S. AIR RAIDS
IN SOLOMONS. LONDON, February 23. The U.S. Navy reported: In the early morning heavy bombers, without loss, attacked Japanese positions at Vilain Koloobangara Island, and Munda. Fires were started in the Munda area. Liberator medium-bombers escorted by Lightnings, bombed Japanese positions at Kiska. All the American planes returned.
