Economic Co-operation (Rec. 11.45.) LONDON, Jan. 21. Germany and Japan on Wednesday signed an economic treaty. It is one similar to an Italian-Japanese economic! treaty signed at Rome. These treaties have been given a special announcement from Hitler s headquarters, which explained that the treaties suplemented and extended the Tri-partite Pact among the three nations, and ratified the continuance of long-term economic planning among them. The announcement added: “Hereby, great economic spheres in Europe and Asia are to be exploited, with all their strength, for total war against our enemies. Simultaneously, there is being created a basis for post-war economic collaboration among the three countries.” (
