The “Daily Telegraph’s’’ Istanbul correspondent says: Italians and Quisling leaders in Albania are imposing incessant drastic measures, .but arp. failing to curb Albanians’ discontent and animosity. Demonstrations against Italians in Tirana are frequent. Guerrillas daringly penetrated the guarded capital and compelled its Blackshirt militia to retreat, and killed 167 Italian diers camped in a churchyard in the centre of the city. Italian authorities in Tirana a.pe baffled because public servants who have sworn loyalty to the Fascist regime are now helping insurgents. Two battalions of Albanian militia from Koritza mutinied and fled to the mountains with equipment and joined the guerrillas.
