WESTPORT NOTES

Rev. H. G. Brown has left for Blenheim to attend the annual Methodist Conference, of the Nelson district. Mr. L. Tredennick, president of t-*e Westport Watersiders’ Union left this week to attend a meeting of the Executive of the New Zealand Watersiders’ Union. Mr. Skipper Francis is visiting Westport on behalf of the Adult Physically Afflicted Fund. Mr. J. McLaughlin, Radio Inspector, Nelson, is visiting Westport in connection with the recent complaints concerning radio interference. Mrs. M. G. Pearson, wife of Mr. ESA. Pearson, died in Wellington on Saturday. Mrs. Pearson resided in Westport for many years and her death will.be regretted by a wide circle of friends.
