Forces on South Coast

AUSTRALIAN AIR RAID. [Snecial to N.Z. Press Assn.] (Rec. 11.50.) SYDNEY, Nov. 24. To-day’s communique from General MacArthur’s Headquarters, reports an AI.F. attack on enemy anchorages on the south coast of Timor Island. It was made by Allied Hudson ’planes. These latest raids were against the Beco and Raimean villages, which are just a mile apart. These villages were occupied by the Japanese only a few days ago. These are the first anchorages on the south coast of Timor to have been occupied bv the enemy. The enemy forces are reported to have come overland in considerable strength from their bases on the northern side of Timor Island.
