GERMAN PILLBOXES
GOING UP IN NORWAY. (Rec. 5.5) LONDON, Nov. 22. A report received in London stated: Germans are preparing for street warfare in Norway, signs of increas- ' ing German nervousness were shown by feverish activities in building defensive pillboxes. -Pillboxes are being erected not only in west coast ’ towns, but also inland. (Pillboxes now command all strategic positions, , such as crossroads, and entrances to towns. Oslo alone has fifty of these pillboxes in course of construction.
