Stabilisation Policy

P.A. WELLINGTON, July 22. Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Acting-Prime Minister, stated to-night that a meeting of the War Administration was held this morning. Following the usual review and discussion of the war situation, the Administration dealt with a number of urgent matters, including that of lighting restrictions throughout the Dominion, and also economic stabilisation. In regard to economic stabilisation, Mr Sullivan said that a complete identity of views had been expressed. The governing principle of the policv is to be the unanimous report of the Economic Stabilisation Conference of 1940. Mr Sullivan added that the Economic Stabilisation Committee would forthwith resume its activities, and would act as an- advisory committee of the War Cabinet on all matters relating to price stabilisation.
