Mr. R. Blance, has returned home, after spending some time in the Westport Hospital, suffering from a broken leg. Mrs Scott of Christchurch, is paying an extended visit to her daughter Mrs W. Burns, of Taylorville. The Stillwater first aid examination was held in the Stillwater Hall on Tuesday evening, Dr. ' Kent was the examiner. Mr. G. Meagher, of the R.A.F., who arrived on Monday on leave is returning to camp this week, and -consequently a send-off which was being arranged for him on Friday night has had to be cancelled.

Mrs G. Meagher is visiting the district, having arrived on Monday.
