BRITISH EXPERT’S PRAISE (Special to N.Z. Press Assn.;) SYDNEY, June 17. Mr C. W. Hamann, Deputy-Chief Engineer to the Ministry of Home Security in Great Britain says:—“Sydney’s A.R.P. is of a very high standard.” Mr Hamann is being loaned to the New Zealand Government as a technical adviser on civil defence. He arrived in Australia recently. He particularly approved of the use of Sydney’s underground railway tunnels as air raid shelters.
