KING’S HORSE WINS AT NEWMARKET.

LONDON, J'une 12. The result of the New Oaks Stakes at Newmarket was:— ■ His Majesty’s Sun Chariot 1 Eastglen “ Pay Roll 3 Won by a length. Time 2.33 1-5. Gordon Richards rode Sun Chariot. This was the first time a Royal-own-ed horse had won this race. Sun Chariot has now won "seven of eight races, winning a total of 16,585 Men crowded the stand, waved hats, and cheered tremendously. There was another burst of cheering when the winner was led to the saddling enclosure. The crowd at Newmarket was big, with a large number of cars, but many hundreds were forced to walk to the course, owing to lack of transport. A.J.C. RACES. (Rec. 6.30.) SYDNEY, June 14.
