Jehovah Witnesses NEW PLYMOUTH ACTIVITIES. P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 2. David Matthew Smith, of New Plymouth, a machinist, and Leslie Maxwell Ward, of New Plymouth, a builder, were each sentenced by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., to-day, to one month’s imprisonment with hard labour for carrying on the activities of the subversive organisation, know;, as Jehovah’s Witnesses, x The charges arose as the result of visits made to the home of a soldier.
