THE PHILIPPINES
LONDON, April 30. The J'apanese have made a new' landing in the Philippines at Parang, on the island of Mindanao. The landing was made from five transports. This is reported in a communique from General MacArthur’s headquarters in Melbourne. A Japanese report says that the defence forces on Mindanao set fire to Parang and to Kotabato, ten miles away.
