CROSS COUNTRY RACES
The. final phase of the Technical School Sports was reached yesterday, when the junior and senior cross country races were held. The distance was approximately two miles by road and. beach, from and back to the School. There were about 85 junior competitors, and 55 senior. The results were:— Senior:—C. Williams 1, K. Patterson, 2, N. Jones 3, I. Kitchingham 4, J. Haglund 5, W. Evans 6. Junior:—C. George 1, T. Williams 2, J. Reid 3, V. Martin 4, B. Amor 5, F. Thomson 6. The Senior Championship goes to J. Haglund with 27 1 points, and the runner up is R. Henderson with 234 points. The junior championship, which Was in doubt until to-day’s event, was won by C. George, who increased his points from 18 to 21 by winning the cross country event. The 1 runner up is D. Pethig, with 18 points.
