ARREST OF GERMANS IN BRAZIL RIO DE JANEIRO, Apral 20. Police rouded up thirty-six Gormans in the State of Rio Grande Do Sul, in cluding Kurt Fraeb, a former German army officer, described as director of German espionage in Port R ; o Grai C.c. The ploice declared Fraeb operated a raido aboard Gem rm freighters in the harbour which , informed the battleship Graf Sree regarding movements of British vessels. Apparently espionage backfired, leading to the final dertructicn of the Grafe Spee in the Mintevidea harbour in December, 19.39. after British warships a pprehended the raider.
