U.S.A. SHIPMENTS STOPPED. [British Official Wireless! RUGBY. March' 17. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare was asked in the Commons to state the position with regard to the shipment of supplies from the United States to the French in North Africa. He replied that the question was under discussion with the United States Government. The Under-Secretary of State has now announced in Washington that shipments will not be resumed until a satisfactory arrangement .has been reached with Vichy. TANGIER, March 17.
The authorities in French Morocco have ordered the immediate internment of all British subjects aged 13 to 50 residing in. coastal towns. This step involves about 2,000 Britons, and is stated to have been taken as a reprisal! for the bombing of occupied France.
