WAR EFFORT CONFERENCE

The War Effort Provisional Committee, formed in Greymouth on Mauch 7th., will proceed to perfect its organisation and plans at what promises to be the biggest and most representative conference ever to be held on the Coast, on Monday night, March 23rd., at the Greymouth Town Hall.

Every organisation in the district, whether political, industrial, social, or administrative, is invited to send a delegation. , ‘ ,

The Conference will elect a War Effort Committee whose task it will be to organise mass public rallies and meetings where will he" discussed one matter —and one matter only—the problem of attaining a maximum resistance to enemy attack and securing maximum protective measures for, the civilian population, in ‘collaboration with the Government and local administration.

Most people belong to one of the 300 odd organisations in the district.

Make sure YOUR organisation is represented at the Conference, whether it receives an official invitation oi not.
