WAR CONTRACT PROFITS.
WASHINGTON, March 16.
Congressional friends of Labour indicated to-day that they planned to light for drastic limitation of profits on war contracts to accompany any legislation placing a ceiling on wages. Senators Hill and La Follette, Labour’s leading supporters, expressed willingness to accept wage controls, if accompanied by profit curbs, but thought an arbitary ceiling over wages might disrupt the industrial machinery incalculably.
