TO BE RATIONED
N.Z. SUGAR SUPPLIES. P.A. WELLINGTON, March 17. According to a statement. made in the House to-day, by the Minister of Supply (Hon. D. G. Sullivan), sugar is to be rationed in the Dominion. Mr J. A. Lee' (Grey Lynn) had given notice of a question on behalf of the Member for Napier, Mr W. E. Barnard, asking whether the Government would take steps to regulate effectively the rationing of sugar. Mr Sullivan, in reply, said: “If you mean, will sugar be rationed, my reply is in the affirmative.”
