TASMAN CROSSED
In. a Launch NAVIGATOR CHARGED WITH THEFT. (Rec. 1.45). HOBART, Feb. 24. When Richard Humphreys was charged at the Hobart Police Court on Monday with the theft of a 27ft. auxiliary launch, from Invercargill, it was revealed that he had landed on the East Coast of Tasmania, after a twenty-three day voyagre across Tasman Sea. Humphreys, who was alone, relied on his sail for 21 days. He was remanded. No further details are at present available.
