N.Z. and Australia PRINCIPLES LAID DOWN. (R&c. 1.17). CANBERRA, Feb. 25. The necessity for the continuing of 'lmportant discussions on Pacific defence by the Advisory War Council in conjunction with the Chiefs of Staff of Australia and New Zealand, together with the Dominion advisers, is expected to cause an interruption of the Federal Parliamentary Session. The War Council met again to-day for several hours. The Prime Minister, Mr. Curtin, made the following statement tonight: “The meeting to-day conducted a stocktaking of the war position, and laid down general principles to meet the existing situation.
