NURSES AND WASHING FACILITIES.

(To the Editor, Magazine Page). Greymoutn. Sir,—l am writing this letter to bring to notice the lack of facilities for the nurses of Grey Hospital i regard to the washing of their personal clothing. The hospital laundry only handles the nurses’ In the nurses’ quarters where th personal laundering must be done by the nurses themselves, only two tubs are available, and no facilities exist for boiling the clothes. But most serious of all is the lack of drying room.

In a wet -climate like that of the I West Coast, it is often impossible to get the clothes dry in the open air. I The nurses are compelled to hang their wet clothing in their bedrooms. .This is certainly not conducive to the comfort or the health of the occu- ' pants.

It is also a fact that because of the lack of drying room nurses often have to put on damp clothing before going on duty.

| I consider tWat more regard should be paid 'by the responsible authorities to the health and comfort of [our nurses at the Grey Hospital.. Appreciations of your article entitled “Our Hospital Nurses.'’ I am. etc., J. MITCHELL.
