Feb. 17. Tokio Radio states the Dome! News Agency reports the Cabinet has releived General Tojo, Prime Minister, of additional post of Homeminister. Singapore has been renamed by the Japanese. The new name Ts “Schonanko,” which means “Bright Father of the South.” The Berlin official News Agency, in an official message from Tokio, reports the change of name. WHAT DOES IT MEAN. Japanese Imperial Headquarters announce that Singapore has been renamed ’ “Shonanport,” meaning “Light from the South.” Still another Agencv gives it . a new name “Shonank,” meaning “Shining South Port.”
