Many gardeners know that they need humus for a satisfactory growth of flowers and vegetables,' but some may not be aware that humus has a definite connection with human health. sist disease, and help mankind to attain a similar robustness. “Evidence that humus-grown food promotes exceptional health is provided by the people of the Faroe Islands, . Iceland and “Greenland, the islanders of Tristan and the rural Chinese,” it is stated. “All enjoy health of. a quality that is now attracting widespread attention in the medicalscientific world.” Much of nature’s own humus in New Zealand is being scoured away by floods—the penalty of stupid destruction of protective native forests in high country
