A resolution of sympathy with the widow and relatives of the late Mr. Wm. McLaughlan, was passed in silence at last evening’s meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union on the motion of the Acting-Chairman (Mr. J. Guy), who said that deceased came to Greymouth at a time when referees were badly wanted and had proved a most enthusiastic and willing Rugby supporter.

.The late Leslie James Williamson, wnb succumbed to injuries received whilst returning to Godley Head on Sunday, was formerly employed by the Railways Department at Greymouth He had been attached to Godlev Head’ for the past eight months. He married a daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Absalom, of Chapel Street, Greymouth. and is survived bv his wife and two children, who reside in Christchurch, where the funeral takes place to-day.
