AUSTRALIAN COAL INDUSTRY.
CANBERRA. July 25. The Minister.,of Supply (Senator Mcteay), .announced that the Economic and Industrial Committee of the Federal Cabinet has practically completed plans to take drastic action in connection with the coal industry. He did not indicate what form this .action might take, but it is understood that proposals are being considered for the reorganisation of the industry along the lines recently, adopted ’ with the petrol industry, bringing 'it under difect Ministerial control.
