Fine weather prevailed for the continuation of the ‘lnangahua Rugoy League matches, and there was a big crowd at the Reefton Racecourse to witness the W’aitnhu-Waratah match. The game was an interesting cne. k Though the Waitahu forwards dominated the tight plav. the Waratah backs were too clever on the day. Earl-./ in the' match W, Cutbush scored a try for Waratahs, intercepting a pass and running 40 yards. A. Watson converted. Before half time Waratahs scored another unconverted try, to lead bv 8 points at the interval. In the second spell Cooper (Waratahs) was injured and was replaced by J. Faulkiner. while T McKenzie reolaced McDonald at full back for Waitahu. In this spe’l Waitahu scored an unconverted try, and McKenzie kicked a penalty. The final score was: Waratahs 8 Waitahu 5. Mr C. McElwee was referee.
