C.O. DEFAULTERS

NOT ATTENDING PARADES. CHRISTCHURCH, July 19. Legal action against a number of military defaulters in Chr’stchurch is pending, a majority of them being conscientious objectors whese appeals have been dismissed by the Armed Forces Appeal Board, an' 1 who have been ordered to undertake non-combatant service. In such cases the men are notifle' in a Gazette that they are required to report to tho Ai’ea Staff Officer, and on their failure to parade action is taken through th P Courts, _ One case has already been dealt with in Christchurch, the defaulter bt in? sentenced to imprisonment for f.ire? months.
