Ramsiay, J. Kidd, W. Meates, J. Griffen,'!.. Hunter, A. Kyle, 11. Bassett (Referees’ Delegate), M. Power (junior Advisory Board), and P. E. Sweetman (Secretary). L. Pascoe, Kumara, applied for reinstatement to the League code, his application being forwarded to the New Zealand Council with a favourable recommendation. Mr. Kidd said that the Fixtures’. Committee had decided to go on with the fixtures last Sunday, and if necessary, the game postponed last Sunday could be played later in the season. It was reported that owing to the late arrival of the Ngahere team the referee had left the field, and when Ngahere arrived the Runanga team had also left.

Mr. Kyle said that the referee should be written to, pointing out that if one team was not on the playing field on time, the team which was ready should kick off and be given the game. The referee had no power to do this. Mr. Hunter said that the rules stated that if a team was not on the field a quarter of an hour after the time set down for starting, the opposing team should be awarded the game. A motion that a circular be sent to all clubs, informing them of the rule, was carried. It was also decided to write to the Referees’ Association, asking them to use their discretion in such cases.

Mr. Kyle said that the referee should have given the game to Runanga instead of just walking away. The Chairman asked what the prospects were for representative games this season. He would like to see a game on the King’s Birthday. A West Coast representative team could be sent to Reefton to start the representative games there. Air. Griffen said that there were Rugby representative games to be played on that day. Mr. Hunter said that it was probable that the mines in both districts would be working on the King’s Birthday.
