Mr Ralph Stewart, owner of Beau Vite, is satisfied that his horse will be fit to show his form at the Rosehill meeting. He would have preferred him to have a race before his meeting with High Caste and other good horses, but overlooked entering him for a suitable race. Beau Vite is now forward enough to give a good showing when he meets good company. He pleased track watchers at Randwick when he galloped on the tan track from the nine furlongs post to the three furlongs post in 1.18, which was comparatively good time. He ran the first five furlongs in 1.4. Proud Fox was not sent against

the watch. Fligh Caste went five furlongs on the course proper in 1.5. Tidal Wave, who will not start in the S'ydney Cup but is a definite starter in z the St. Leger, equalled High Caste’s time over the same journey.
