TWO ENEMY PLANES DOWNED

LONDON, February 10,

A Royal Air Force Middle East communique stated that on Friday night, Malta was raided by the enemy. and a number of bombs were dropped. There were no R.A.F. casualties or damage. In a communique of February 3. it was stated that one British tighter was missing. This aircraft has now returned to its base.

A later Royal Air Force Middle East communique states: —“During the night of February 8-9, Malta wits raided by- a considerable force of enemy aircraft. Damage was caused to private property, and a few civilians were injured. Two J.U. 88’s were shot down, and others were probably damaged.

Since Italy’s entry' into tne war, there have been 300 air-raids against Malta.
