WELLINGTON, February 8. The Meat Producers’ Board has drawn the attention of farmers to the changed position regarding the shipment of wethers and ewes weighing 731 b. and over. In compliance with the request of the British Ministry of Food the shipment of ewe mutton weighing over 72 lb. is limited to the 1938-39 proportions of these grades to the total mutton carcases shipped and all freezing companies are expected to confine shipments of carcases weighing 731 b. and over to these proportions.
