The Oamaru Case SENTENCE OF TWO MONTHS). DUNEDIN, February 6. William Meehan, who yesterday was acquitted on the major charge of attempted murder, but was found guilty of assault, was sentenced today to two months’ hard labour. Mr Justice Kennedy took into consideration the fact that the accused has already spent four months in gaol.
