(Received January 19. 8.40 plm.’> CORAL GABLES, January _ 18. _ In the final at Miami, the Baltimore golfer, George Dawson, defeated Jim Ferrier four up and two. The match was even at the end of the first nine holes, but Dawson secured
a birdie at the twelfth hol e with a twenty-foot putt, and won th P thirteenth, for which Ferrier, with five, secured the bogie. The fourteenth and fifteenth were halved. Dawson secured par on the sixteenth, Ferrier securing bogie. Ferrier after the match said: “He was too good for me.”
