FRANCE’S HARDSHIPS LONDON, January 14. The cold wave is still sweeping France. At Lyons, th? temperature is 17 degrees below zero. Two women died from cold. Two shepherdsnnd 542 cattle were caught in a blizzard on the La • Canourgues marshes, and perished. A number of shepherds are missing. Wi'd animals near Macon are prowling m the isolated villages, and are attacking domestic animals.
