COBDEN LEARNERS' DANC£ The Cobden learners’ long night dance, held on Monday evening in the Cobden Convent Hall, once again proved its popularity, Qver three hundred dancers being present. Musp for the dances was supplies by’ Mesdames M. Mead, T. Taylor, Misses R Ward, J. Bansgrove, and Messrs FSimmonds, E. McDonnell and Reinheim. Mr W. Mcßean_was M.C There were many novelty dances, the winners of which were Miss K. Reedy and Mr O’Connell (lucky spot), Mr S. Partridge and Miss K. McGrath (Monte Carlo). The winners of other prizes were: Box of chocolates. Miss N. Lecher; lucky seat, Mis s Rosaline Finlay; free photographs, F. Grogan (3), Mr Lewis Bailey, and Mr L O’Brien.
