The “Daily Telegraph’s” Helsinki correspondent states: “As a punishment. for a recent anti-Nazi demonstration, the entire popu’ation of Alesund, ii} Norway, hav G ben placed under l*ous e arrest for four days.” The “Daily Express” Stockholm correspondent says: “The riot followed German troops firing in Alesund. A crowd assembled outside the barracks to demonstrate against Major Quisling. Two civilians were killed.”
