'The weather report and forecast are as follows:— General situation: A slight disturbance extends from Tasman Sea across the. centre of New Zealand, and separates anti-cyclones located to the north-east and to the south of the Dominion. Pressure is low over southeastern Australia. Forecast: Winds mainly light to moderate in force, and rather variable in direction. Seas in New Zealand waters slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to fresh northerly winds predominating; seas slight to moderate. Weather for the most part fair to cloudy, but with further scattered light rain or drizzle in the central provinces. Temperatures mild to warm in the north; moderate in the south.
