Not Till New Year NEW APPEALS NECESSARY. WELLINGTON, December 4. The general medical examination of men called up in the ballot will not be commenced until eariy in the New Year. Men, who have already been examined in accordance with Expeditionary Force standard and passed fit, will not be re-exammed. The medical papers of men who enlisted under the voluntary system, but who were not passed fit, will be reconsidered by h special medical board, which, will decide whether or not these men are to be re-examin-ed.

Men called in the Overseas Ballot are asked again to bear in mind that if they desire to appeal' against being called up, further appeal is necessary in every case. The fact that an appeal against Territorial service has been allowed, does not affect the obligation for a fresh appeal against Overseas service
