BOOKMAKER’S BAR AGENT WELLINGTON, December 3. When his client, Ernest Browne, 44, barman, was fined £3O on a bookmaking charge, counsel asked for time to pay. “He ought to get his principals to pay,” said Mr Stout, S.M., “if he is acting as an agent.” “They don’t always pay,” said counsel. “Well, they ought to,” commented the Magistrate.
