SEA LOSSES
NORWEGIAN MOTOR SHIP. SYDNEY, September 10. The Minister for the Naw (Me. Cameron), said that he had know:! for about two months that the Norwegian motor-ship, Tirranna, was over due on the voyage from Melbourne to Mombasa. It is feared that the Tirranna was either captured or sunk by an enemy raider, in the Indian Ocean. The Tirranna carried a crew of 60, and 12 passengers including Lieutenant-Command-er S. Rasmussen, who married a New Zealand girl only a few months before he sailed. Nothing has been heard of the vessel since she left Melbourne on May 30. TRAWLER MINED. LONDON, September 8 Eight men are missing after the sinking of the trawler Salacon by a mine in the North Sea. GERMAN CLAIMS BERLIN, September 9. A communique states: Bombs damaged a merchantman of 8000 tons in the Firth of Forth
