Amusement was caused in England by a German radio report, which described how Reichmarshal Goering, surrounded by his staff stood on an observation tower on ' the French coast watching the battle over London through a stereoscopic telescope. Marshal Goering was described as the personification of calm, which was broken by an occasional, smile of satisfaction as he read the reports.
