SOVIET AND AXIS
REPORTED DISCUSSION (Received September 9, 8.30 p.m.) MOSCOW, September 8. The Tass News Agency is authorised to deny the Japanese newspaper statement that M. Stalin and the German Ambassador at Moscow have discussed a Russian-German-Italian-Japanese agreement, and have also discussed the cancellation of the Anti-Comintern Pact. The Agency states that this is a pure invention, as M. Stalin has not spoken to the German Ambassador during the last six months.
