HARIHARI NOTES
[Our Own Correspondent] The departure of Rev. and Mrs. Harper and family to Akaroa, will take place early next month. Rev. Mr. Harper has been stationed here for the past three and a half years. His successor has not yet been announced. Mr. W. Thiele, Junr., paid a visit to Hokitika at the week-end. Mrs. G. Robertson, has returned after spending a' holiday at Weheka. Mr. and Mrs. Mackay and family, have taken up their residence at Herepo. Mr. and Mrs. Robertson and family, of the K.D.V. Sawmills, are leaving here next week to take up them residence at Christchurch. Mr. P. O’Donnell, of Wellington, paid a brief visit here last week. Messrs W. ana M. Keen, of Hokitika, were week-end visitors here. Fishermen at the mouth of the Big Wanganui River have found whitebait plentiful during the past few days. Large consignments to Christchurch are realising satisfactory prices. The local pastures, following recent fine weather, are looking well. Lambing is reported to have been quite satisfactory. Cows coming into profit are in good condition in consequence of the mild winter. j Inter-Wanganui Dairy Factory reopened on Tuesday last, and a fair' quantity of cream is coming to hand.
