AUCKLAND, August 2.

A total of 2101bs of mail from Australia and New Zealand will be carried to the United States and intermediate ports on the Honolulu Clipper when she takes off from Auckland at 7.30 o’clock to-morrow morn-; ing on the second flight of the South Pacific Air Service. The early weather forecasts for the 1122 mile jouiney to Noumea, the first stage. of the trip were fairly favourable. Some ’1351b of mail brought from Australia by the Aotearoa on Thursday, together with 751 b from New Zealand, will be ■ despatched with the Clipper. A proportion of this consignment is destined for Britain, and., after being • transported from San Francisco to New York by air, it will cross the Atlantic to Lisbon on the Pan-American clipper service.
