Mr Malcolm Macdonald paid an informal visit, yesterday, to the London offices of the American Ren Cross, to express British thanks foi American help given to the Britisa Red Cross. Later in the day, the Minister ot Health was present at a further ceremony, exemplifying American generosity On this occasion, the Direc-tor-General of the American Ambulance handed oxer 14 ambulances and 23 surgical units for immedi : e service in dealing with civilian casualties in Britain. SALE OF GOERING’S BOOKS. RED CROSS BENEFITS. LONDON, July 26. The Red Cross has received 350 guineas from the sale of two books formerly owned by Reich Marshal Goering. They were “Secrets of the Elders of Zroii’’ and '“Bolshevism From Moses to Lenin.” The Red Cross Society has also taken delivery of the first 250 units for dealing with civilian casualties, provided by the American Society. The Minister for Health (Mr Malcolm MacDonald) to-day called on the American Ambassador (Mr Joseph Kennedy) to thank him for the help given by Americans, who have sent equipment worth 2,500,000 dollars.
