McCORKINDALE—KYLE

The marriage was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth on Saturday afternoon, of Eva Doris, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Kyle, Greymouth, and Wilfred Hugh, son of Mr and Mbs H. McCorkindale, of Invercargill, formerly ol Greymcuth. Ven Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn olliciated. Mrs W. H. Baird was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by ncr father, was«£ittired in a gown of white stiffened lace. I’he heart-shnp-d neckline and sweeping panels inserted at the front and back of the skirt were emphasised with pleated tuLe. Her pleated tull e halo was caught at the sides with sprigs of orange blossom these also holding her embroidered veil which fell to form a second train. She carried a shower boquet of white roses, and lily auratum. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs Pfanien, and. Miss Mary Weir, who were dressed alike in frocks of cyclamen tulle, the square necklines and very full skirts beingfinished with bands of ruched tulle. The tulle veils, which wer e held m place by silver Juliet caps, fell softly to their shoulders. They carried shower bouquets of cyclamen flowersMr. Madrice Connelly was best man and Mr Pat Garde was groomsman. , The reception was held at Owens Tea-rooms, ,wher e ;he guests were received by th e bride's mother, wearing a London tan costume, with navy accessories and shoulder spray to match. At St. John’s Presbyterian Church on Saturday, the wedding took place of Joyce Ella, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Oates, of Reefton, and Andrew Ewart, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs J. McClimont, Mount Somers, Canterbury. Rev. A. D. Horwell officiated and Miss M. Coburn was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of magnolia satin broche, cut on slim-fitting Imes, with long train, and finished at the neck with a posy of orange blossoms Her embroidered veil was artistically arranged and was surmounted by a tiara of orange blossoms. Sh e carried a shower bouquet of cyclamen and maidenhair fern. , . Miss Miriam Trott, of Cooden, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing an ankle length frock in pink satin striped sheer, made on slim-fitting lines, with Peter Pan collar and a sash of multi-cc - oured ribbons, .with a posy of matching flpwers at the waist. Her smart French hat had a floral crown and bustle bow of coloured ribbons. She carried a bouquet of pink tonings. Mr Donald A. McMasters was oest The reception was held at Harker’s reception rooms, th e guests being received by the bride’s mother, who wore a chestnut-brown ensemble, with feathered hat to tone. She carried a posy of Autumn-tinted flower Mr and Mr s A. E. McClimont left later by car for the South, the bride travelling in a tan and petrol ensemble, with hat and accessories to tone.
